The Rare Bird Pub & Eatery is Nova Scotia’s unique waterfront brewpub on scenic Marine Drive. Overlooking beautiful Guysborough Harbour, the Rare Bird features classic pub fare, local seafood, wood-fired oven pizza and handcrafted premium ales brewed onsite in the Chedabucto Bay Brewing Company. The Halifax Chronicle Herald described the Rare Bird’s waterfront location as “one of the nicest patios in Nova Scotia”. Onsite is the Chedabucto Bay Brewing Company which makes three premium ales using deep artesian well water and fresh ground grains, carrying on Guysborough’s centuries old brewing tradition begun by Nicholas Denys in 1650. Weekly, the Rare Bird stage presents the best in East Coast music, bringing locals and visitors together in a celebration of Nova Scotia’s musical heritage.
